The ICC'S Culture Department is Recruiting Volunteers

The culture department, chaired by Dorna Mojdami, is excited to announce its call for volunteers for the 2017/2018 year.

The culture department of the Iranian Canadian Congress (ICC) is dedicated to promoting and familiarizing the Iranian and Non-Iranian communities of Canada with Iranian culture and traditions, and bringing the Iranian Community together to promote unity, diversity, and cross-cultural exchange.

In the past year, the culture department of the ICC has been successful in organizing social events such as the Summer Social Mixer and Simorgh Gala. The culture department also engaged with Canada Post to issue a commemorative Nowruz themed stamp, as well as sending Nowruz greetings to federal and provincial leaders. None of this would have been possible without the help of our volunteers.

This year, the culture department is motivated to extend its cultural initiatives by taking on new and exciting projects to further the Iranian-Canadian Community within the Canadian cultural landscape. Therefore, we are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individuals, 16 years of age or older, interested in helping us organize cultural events and projects for the ICC.

Volunteer hours will be provided and it is an excellent experience that can be added to any resume/CV.

If you are interested in volunteering for the Culture Department of the ICC please forward your resume or CV to [email protected] by July 31st, 2017. Candidates will then be invited via email for an interview.

We at the ICC greatly appreciate your support and value your volunteerism and commitment. Thank you!

“Volunteers are not paid – not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless”
