Here is a quick update about the upcoming AGM and the Board Elections:
Dear Members of the ICC,
Board Nominees: Please note that Yasamin Dadashi and Mohsen Khaniki decided to withdraw their nomination for the ICC Board of Directors and in a letter to the ICC Members endorsed the remaining 4 nominees. The remaining nominees are as following in alphabetical order:
Bijan Ahmadi, Soudeh Ghasemi, Hooman Shirazi, Morvarid Zare Zadeh. (Click here to review their bios/nomination statements)
Given that there are only four candidates nominated for four available positions a motion has been introduced on your online and in person voting ballots for the mentioned four individuals to be elected by acclamation to the Board of Directors of the Iranian Canadian Congress.
Online Voting: The Election Committee has sent out all the online voting ballots to members of the ICC who are eligible to vote online. Online voting is only available for members whose identity have been verified by the ICC Board Secretary. The online voting deadline is May 27, 2017 02:00 pm Eastern Time.

Here is the Farsi letter sent to the ICC Board from Mr. Khaniki and Ms. Dadashi withdrawing their nomination and endorsing the 4 remaining nominees:
حضور محترم اعضا و هیات مدیره کنگره ایرانان کانادا،
در این دوره از انتخابات کنگره ایرانیان کانادا٬ این افتخار را داشتیم تا در کنار جمعی از فعالین و چهره های خوش نام جامعه ایرانیان کانادا٬ برای مشارکت در هیت مدیره‌ی این نهاد در دوسال آینده کاندید شویم. پس از شنیدن برنامه ها و اهداف دیگر دوستان٬ که همه از بستر اتحاد و خیر خواهی برای کنگره و جامعه‌ی ایرانیان کاناداست٬ تصمیم گرفتیم در این دوره از انتخابات به احترام همت این عزیزان٬ از کاندیداتوری خویش انصراف دهیم. هرچند بی شک در سال و سال های پیش رو در کنار این عزیزان و کنگره خواهیم بود و هیچ کمکی را در راستای فعالیت های امید وار کننده‌ی این سازمان دریغ نخواهیم کرد.
ما بر این باوریم که مشارکت در این نهاد برای پیشرفت جامعه بزرگ ایراینان کانادا امری حیاتی است. ضمن آرزوی موفقیت برای هیات مدیره کنگره ایرانیان کانادا در سال پیش رو٬ از همه‌ی اعضای کنگره درخواست داریم تا روز یک شنبه ۲۸ ماه می، در مجمع عمومی سالیانه حضور پیدا کنند؛ و از اعضای کامیونیتی که تا امروز عضو رسمی این نهاد نشده اند دعوت میکنیم، از طریق لینک های مربوطه عضو کنگره شوند تا همه در کنار هم، برای آینده‌ی بهتر این جامعه همراه باشیم.
