Dear Members of the Iranian Canadian Congress,
As you may be aware, in the past few years, members of the various boards of directors of the Iranian Canadian Congress (ICC), along with other ICC volunteers, have been working on making revisions to the bylaws of the organization.
For the revised bylaws to be adopted, they require to receive the approval of 2/3 of the members present at the upcoming Annual General Meeting of the ICC (tentatively scheduled for May 15, 2016) and as such, it is the aim of the board of directors of the ICC to include revisions in the proposed draft that are desired by a strong majority of the members. As part of this process, the Bylaw Revision Subcommittee that was formed as part of the Policy Development Committee of the ICC has prepared a questionnaire, which was recently finalized and approved by the board of directors of ICC.
This questionnaire was circulated among the members electronically on March 21, 2016 and will remain open to members to complete until April 1, 2016.
The Board of Directors has organized a consultation session with the members in relation to the proposed changes to the bylaws on Wednesday March 30th, 2016 from 7-9PM at Committee Room #2, North York Civic Centre (5100 Yonge Street).
At this session, members will have an opportunity to discuss the pros and cons of the various proposed changes to the bylaws contained in the questionnaire.
Members who have not had the opportunity to complete the electronic questionnaire will be able to complete a hard copy of the questionnaire during the consultation session.
We look forward to your participation and input.
Sincerely,
Board of Directors of Iranian Canadian Congress
