The Iranian Canadian Congress is extremely concerned about Professor Hoodfar’s health condition.
The Iranian Canadian Congress is deeply concerned about the recent news from Prof. Hoodfar’s family about her declining health condition. According to information from her family, Professor Hoodfar had to be hospitalized and her health condition has been deteriorating since her arrest on June 6th, 2016.
Once again we demand Homa Hoodfar’s immediate release. We also urge the Government of Canada to pursue this case with urgency and utmost care, and to take all available measures towards ensuring Dr. Hoodfar's good health and release from prison.
The Iranian Canadian Congress is closely monitoring these developments and will continue to communicate with Global Affairs Canada and with the family of Dr. Hoodfar here in Canada to ensure that the case is given appropriate attention by both the Canadian government and the greater public.
