On Sunday, Jagmeet Singh was chosen leader of the federal New Democratic Party of Canada; at 38, he is the youngest leader in the party's history. With strong competition, he successfully took more than the 50 per cent of the votes in the party's federal leadership contest. 

This unique and powerful moment in the history of our strong, diverse, and united nation is worthy of great celebration. 

The Iranian Canadian Congress extends its most sincerest congratulations to Jagmeet Singh, on this momentous victory.
