A brief report about the meeting between ICC representatives and Parliamentary Secretary Omar Alghabra on :

Since the arrest of Prof. Homa Hoodfar the Iranian Canadian Congress (ICC) has been in contact with the office of the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Consular Affairs), Mr. Omar Alghabra. Bijan Ahmadi, The President of ICC, and Parliamentary Secretary Omar Alghabra had a phone conversation back in June 17, 2016 about the cases of Prof. Hoodfar and Saeed Malekpour. On Monday August 8th, 2016 Bijan Ahmadi, and ICC Policy Chair, Pouyan Tabasinejad, met with Mr. Alghabra. The discussions were centred on the cases of Canadian linked prisoners in Iran, Prof. Homa Hoodfar and Saeed Malekpour, and also the process of re-establishing diplomatic relations between Canada and Iran.

ICC representatives once again extended their gratitude to Parliamentary Secretary Omar Alghabra, and his team, for their efforts in pursuing the cases of Homa Hoodfar and Saeed Malekpour and their timely responses to the ICC's follow ups and requests.
