This is to inform you that Ms. Mitra Saffari has resigned as a director of the ICC effective the date of the upcoming Annual General Meeting of the organization (May 15th, 2016).

Ms. Saffari's resignation was submitted to the board of directors on Friday, April 29, 2016. Below you can find Ms. Saffari's email to the board regarding her resignation. Please join us in thanking Ms. Saffari for her voluntary service to the organization and in wishing her all the success in her future endeavours.

Dear board members of the Iranian Canadian Congress,

I am pleased that a relatively good number of individuals from the Iranian Canadian Community have shown interest in the available vacant positions in the Iranian Canadian Congress-Board of Directors (ICC-BOD). With a view to providing more opportunities for these volunteers to contribute to the wellness of our community, I would like to inform you that I will resign from the ICC-BOD at the end of my one year term, coinciding with the upcoming AGM.

I wish all the success for the Iranian Canadian Community members in their efforts to create an inclusive, democratic and equitable society.
