Mani Hendesi PR & Communications I joined ICC to help develop the Iranian Canadian community in as many aspects as I can. I hope to be a part of ICC for a long time and work in my community in order to improve it. I moved to Canada at a young age and feel that both cultures have many valuable aspects, many of them can be combined to bring out the best in Canada's multicultural communities.
Inna Rasitsan PR & Communications While not Iranian myself, I have deep ties to the Iranian community by way of family and friends. I volunteered for ICC with the goal of assisting the organization further its mission, vision, and objectives with positive advocacy through various channels and initiatives. As a first-generation immigrant, I greatly appreciate the importance of community outreach and support, and I am pleased to be part of this active collective.
Maryam Nehrir PR & Communications As an immigrant who has spent most of her life in Iran, I am proud and grateful to be Iranian Canadian now. But unfortunately, I am not satisfied with the level of active participation of Iranian Canadians in the community here, and the accuracy of Canadians' perception of Iranian culture and people. By volunteering with ICC, I hope to play a part in filling the gap and engaging more of Iranians in social, political, and cultural aspects of life.
Sana Rokhsefat  & Communications Though I have not lived in Iran, throughout my life my Iranian heritage has played a big role in shaping the person I am today; a proud Iranian-Canadian. As someone who values community, I endeavour to create a stronger and more active Iranian-Canadian community. As such, I joined ICC, given its mandate to advance the interests of Iranian-Canadians, whilst simultaneously working on community engagement.
Pasha Majidi PR & Communications
I joined the ICC to help and develop the Iranian Canadian community. My goal is to improve and enhance Iranians situation in Canada. To reach to this goal, all volunteers (including me) have to work hard to engage more Iranians into Canadian society. I came to Canada 4 years ago as a grad student. All of these years with different opportunities as a volunteer, I have tried hard to promote Iranian society in Canada. Now, I am pleased to work with ICC.
Ladan Eskandarian Policy I came to Canada as a grad student and during my studies I realized as an international student I’m a representative of my country! ICC is made up a wonderful community of knowledgeable and helpful members, becoming involve with ICC will give me the opportunity to be a good representative by making a difference through committee involvement.
Sorena Zahiri Shadbad Policy
Vlad Spoiala Policy Although I am not Iranian I have joined the ICC because it is an NGO that defends important values and world views. I am sure that many of the issues that the ICC fights for will benefit not only the Iranian-Canadian community but also most other immigrant communities in Canada. It is a pleasure working alongside others who are very energtic, dedicated, and focused on social and political issues that impact our country and our people in a significant way.
