Here is an announcement from the ICC Board of Directors regarding the upcoming AGM on April 29, 2018:
Dear Members and Supporters of the Iranian Canadian Congress (ICC),
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the ICC will be held on Sunday April 29th, 2018 at 3PM in North York Civic Centre, Council Chamber in Toronto, Ontario (5100 Yonge Street). During this meeting the ICC executives will provide a report about the annual activities of the organization. Also during this AGM 6 new board members will be elected for the ICC Board of Directors. Please note that the nomination deadline is March 29, 2018, 11:59PM.
Clarification regarding nomination requirements:
During recent days we have received questions about the nomination requirements. According to the ICC bylaws nominees must meet certain requirements. One of the requirements is that a board nominee must have been a member in good standing for at least one (1) year immediately preceding the AGM. The Board of Directors of the ICC would like to clarify that consistent with the practice of the ICC in previous years if a nominee does not meet the 1 year membership requirement we will accept a motion proposed by the nominee to request membership for an exception/exemption. In this process the nomination of the person who does not meet the bylaw membership requirement will be pending on approval from the membership. For this exemption motion to pass it requires an affirmative vote of at least two-thirds (2/3) of the members voting in the AGM.
Membership Registration
ONLY members of the ICC are eligible to attend at the Annual General Meeting and vote for the election of new board members. You can sign up for ICC membership or renew your membership online at www.iccongress.ca/joinICC

Online Voting
According to the procedure provided in the bylaws the ICC is facilitating online voting from April 21-April 28.
