Are You A Lawyer? Volunteer for the ICC Legal Committee

Here is an announcement from the Iranian Canadian Congress:

We are pleased to announce the founding of a new initiative, the Iranian Canadian Congress Legal Committee.

The policy team at the ICC has decided to launch this initiative to fulfill a need in the community for legal services that would otherwise be too costly. The ICC Legal Committee will undertake a variety of activities, including: giving policy advice for the ICC’s policy advocacy, staffing legal clinics, and giving pro bono legal services for Iranian-Canadian individuals and non-profits.

In return for their service, lawyers will receive the satisfaction of contributing to the community’s well-being and an opportunity to gain legal experience in interesting and rewarding cases and situations.

So if you or someone you know is a lawyer (or a legal professional) certified to practice in Canada or a law student in Canada, join the ICC Legal Committee by emailing [email protected] with a short bio and a brief description of your legal expertise.
