Here is a letter to ICC members and supporters from the ICC VP Pouyan Tabasinejad:
Dear Friends,
My name is Pouyan Tabasinejad and I am the Vice President of the Iranian Canadian Congress (ICC).
Over the past three years, I have been proud to be part of the astonishing growth of the ICC into a staunch and powerful defender of the Iranian-Canadian community. Because of the ICC’s efforts, politicians and officials are learning that the Iranian-Canadian community can no longer be ignored.
However, there are far too many regressive forces inside and outside the community, from the far-right to pro-sanctions lobby groups like the MEK, who do not want the Iranian-Canadian community to be strong and independent. They would like to keep us silent, especially in advance of the federal election in October.
That is why I am asking you to donate to the ICC. Now more than ever, your donation is needed to help protect our community from those who would like to hold us back, who want to prevent us from advocating for peace and diplomacy with Iran and for ending anti-Iranian discrimination.
