NOTICE FOR THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE IRANIAN CANADIAN CONGRESS

When: 2PM on Sunday May 15, 2016

Where: Council Chamber, North York Civic Centre (5100 Yonge Street)

Note: The membership cut-off is extended from May 6th to Friday noon, May 13th, 2016. Anyone whose membership has been expired will be able to renew his/her membership and vote at the AGM from 10AM-2PM at Council Chamber, North York Civic Centre.   

Dear Members of the Iranian Canadian Congress,

Notice is hereby given to all members of the Iranian Canadian Congress (ICC) that the ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of the ICC will be held on Sunday May 15^th, 2016 at 2PM in North York Civic Centre, Council Chamber in North York, Ontario (5100 Yonge Street) to conduct the following:

• Provide a report about the annual activities and performance of the organization.
• Election for six new board members for the ICC Board of Directors.

Nomination Procedure: ICC members interested to run for a position on the Board of Directors shall follow these steps:

Step 1: Review the eligibility requirements for board nominees (as per the ICC by-law):

• Must have been a member in good standing for at least one (1) year immediately preceding the AGM;
• Must be 21 years or older;
• Must be a Canadian Citizen;
• Must have lived in Canada for at least 5 years in aggregate;
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Step 2: If you meet the eligibility requirements, send an email to [email protected] to announce your intention to run before April 15^th, 2016 (11:59PM). Make sure you include your full name and contact information in this email.

Step 3: To complete the nomination process all nominees shall submit the following documents to ICC by email before April 20^th, 2016:

1. A biography and/or nomination statement in maximum 300 words;
2. A passport size photo;
3. A certificate of police clearance.

Membership cut-off date

ONLY members of the Iranian Canadian Congress are eligible to attend at the Annual General Meeting and vote for the election of new Board members. Therefore, those who become member of the ICC by the end of May 6^th, 2016 (11:59PM) are eligible to vote at the upcoming AGM.

Proxy Voting

Members who are unable to vote in person at the AGM, can assign a proxy representative to vote for them. We will send you the proxy form and instructions in a separate email in the next few weeks.  

In the coming weeks we will provide you more information about the upcoming AGM.

اعلامیه رسمی مجمع عمومی سالیانه کنگره ایرانیان کانادا

مکان: سالن اجتماعات شهرداری نورت یورک، واقع در ۵۱۰۰ خیابان یانگ

اعضای محترم کنگره ایرانیان کانادا

بدینوسیله به آگاهی می رساند که مجمع عمومی سالیانه کنگره ایرانیان کانادا ساعت ۲ بعدازظهر روز یکشنبه ۱۵ ماه مه ۲۰۱۶ در سالن اجتماعات شهرداری نورت یورک برای رسیدگی به موارد ذیل برگزار خواهد شد 

گزارش فعالیت و عملکرد کنگره ایرانیان کانادا در ۱۲ ماه گذشته

برگزاری انتخابات برای جای گزینی شش (۶) عضو هیأت مدیره که دوره ماموریت آنان پایان می یابد

شرایط نامزدی برای عضویت در هیات مدیره به استناد اساسنامه کنگره ایرانیان کانادا بشرح زیر است 

الف) عضویت در کنگره ایرانیان کانادا برای حداقل یکسال کامل که زمان آن بلافاصله پیش ازتاریخ انتخابات پیش رو محاسبه میگردد؛

ب)  حداقل ۲۱ سال و یا بیشتر سن داشته باشند؛

ج) شهروند کانادا باشند؛

د) حداقل (یا در مجموع) ۵ سال در کانادا ساکن بوده باشند؛

ه) بایستی دارای سوء پیشینه نباشند؛ 

همگی اعضای علاقمند به عضویت در هیات مدیره کنگره ایرانیان کانادا که دارای شرایط فوق هستند میبایست تا تاریخ ۱۵ آوریل، ۲۰۱۶ پیش از ۱۱:۵۹ شب قصد عضویت خود در هیات مدیره کنگره ایرانیان کانادا را به آدرس ایمیل کنگره ارسال کنند

برای تکمیل مراحل نامزدی افرادی که قصد خود به عضویت در هیات مدیره را برای هیات مدیره کنگره ایرانیان کانادا اعلام کرده اند باید تا ۲۰ ماه آوریل، ۲۰۱۶ مدارک زیر را به آدرس ایمیل کنگره ارسال کنند

 یک عکس جدید در اندازه پاسپورت

گواهی عدم سوء پیشینه از اداره پلیس

توجه

تنها اعضای کنگره می توانند در مجمع عمومی شرکت کرده و رأی دهند. از اینرو آنهایی که تا پایان روز جمعه ۶ ماه مه ۲۰۱۶  به عضویت کنگره در آمده و یا عضویت خود را تمدید کنند می توانند در انتخابات شرکت نمایند
