On February 22, 2021, Justice Hainey granted an order to close the legal case brought forward against the Iranian Canadian Congress (ICC) by Babak Payami, Kamnoosh Shahabi, Mehrdokht Hadi, and Shayan Moin in 2019. By this order, the court officially declares that the final report by the court-appointed monitor, Marvin J. Huberman, complies with the order of Justice Hainey, dated September 14, 2020, and the application is dismissed. 

With the legal case finally closed, the board of directors can focus all its efforts on providing services to its members and the broader Iranian-Canadian community. This legal case imposed a significant cost on the ICC, putting unprecedented financial pressure on the organization.
