Welcome to the ICC's Election Centre!

As part of the ICC's effort to increase Iranian-Canadians' political awareness and involvement in advance of the Federal Election, we are happy to provide this page for the Iranian-Canadian community to use as a resource to learn how to vote and get involved.

How Do I Vote (in Person)?

If you want to vote on Election Day or on Advance Polling days, you should make sure to check if you are registered to vote by clicking here

If you want to vote before October 15th, you may click on this link to find one of 500 voting locations near you.

Can I Vote by Mail?

As a Canadian citizen, you may vote by mail, but you must register to do so before October 15th at 6PM. Click here for more information.

Can I Vote in Person at My Local Elections Canada Office?

If you are not able to vote on Election Day or on any of the advance polling days, you have the right to vote in person before October 15th at your local Elections Canada Office. The regular hours are 9:00AM to 9:00PM Monday to Friday and Noon to 4PM on Sundays. Click here to find your local office.

How Do I Vote in Advance Polls?

If you are registered with Elections Canada at your current address, you should have received your voter registration card in the mail. Click here to find more information on registration and click here to find more information on advance polling.

I'm a Post-Secondary Student. How Do I Vote on Campus? Where Does My Vote Get Counted?

As a student, you have access to over 115 Elections Canada campus locations. Click here to find these locations.

Also as a student, your vote gets counted at "your primary place of residence". Usually, this is where your ID lists as your address. Find more information here.

How Do I Find Out More About Canadian Federal Politics?

The ICC is preparing a series of events and resources to help the Iranian-Canadian community inform itself in advance of the Federal Election. The first is our Community Roundtable on the Federal Election on October 13th at 3 PM at the North York Civic Centre's Committee Room #3. Find our Facebook event here!
