The recent terror attacks have left many families traumatized. Many grieving the tragic and bitter loss of their loved ones.  As Global Citizens, the pain extends to us all.

On Sunday, Jagmeet Singh was chosen leader of the federal New Democratic Party of Canada; at 38, he is the youngest leader in the party's history. With strong competition, he successfully took more than the 50 per cent of the votes in the party's federal leadership contest. 

The Iranian Canadian Congress joins leading civil society voices urging for changes to the government's national security bill to protect privacy and freedoms. 

Based on reports from UN Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland met with her Iranian counterpart, Minister Javad Zarif today at the UN. More information will be posted soon.

On Sunday September 10, 2017, a group of Iranian-Canadian students peacefully gathered in front of the Toronto office of Hon. Chrystia Freeland, Minister of Foreign Affairs, to demand the federal government to fulfill its 2 year old promise to reestablish diplomatic relations with Iran and reopen the embassies in Ottawa and Tehran.

On the fifth anniversary of the breaking of diplomatic ties with Iran, the Iranian Canadian Congress (ICC) calls on the Government of Prime Minister Trudeau to fulfill its promise to reestablish diplomatic relations and reopen the Canada-Iran embassies.

The ICC is recruiting volunteers for its Public Relations and Communications Department. The department is responsible for effective and professional communication with members, supporters, media, and other stakeholders on a regular basis and community building.
